Five half-centuries, but KL Rahul remains a conundrum
Rahul is looking for new ways to get himself out '- Bangar (1:47)
India's assistant coach Sanjay Bangar talked about how KL Rahul should be more responsible and also said that the number 6 slot is still ready to catch (1:47)
Most batsmen of India enjoyed a useful time in the middle as Sydney went on to allow all-day games in SCG on Wednesday, although whether they were prepared for Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins.
Against a slight but firm attack of 36 first-class wickets - 16 out of them 16 D 'Arcy Short - 5 out of six sixes made a spectacular display during the sixth session, especially with the strokeplay of Prithvi Shaw in the morning session. Virat Kohli saw a splendid touch and Hanuma Vihari batted 53 on the number 6. However, the lower order was not affected, and as India was found on the tour of England, the tail could put a difference.
KL Rahul question
Against an inexperienced bowling attack in a match lacking in the competitive edge, these are the people who are not the runners who do the same as the people do. One of the selection debates for India before the series is that what should be their initial involvement after remembering M Vijay's team in place of Shikhar Dhawan? If there are any signs of getting the first DBS - and it should definitely be with such a limited hot period - then KL will support Rahul Shaw, who had done a fantastic start of his career against the West Indies. Shaw hit a half century with 11 fours, but Rahul gave the opportunity in the middle with poor performance to find the mid-off in the sixth over of the day.
Close to the drama, India batting coach Sanjay Bangar was not very happy with that shot.
Bangar said, "He is still showing in good shape, it is just that he is getting new ways to get out." "Even today, the ball was quite far and he played it away from his body and lost his wicket, but what we are reading is that he is playing the ball well and he is a hit away. And if he changes that it is important for the team to perform.
"He is no longer a young player and he is here on his second tour, he has played 30 Test and he is responsible. We hope he plays with that responsibility and play his part for the team."
Rahul's impressive century against England in The Oval achieved his place after a series where the opening was working hard, but then he missed out in the two first innings opportunities with 0 and 4 against the West Indies. Strict technology will be required to survive in the top order, challenge challenged by Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins; Therefore, Rahul's shot is not what India would like to see in Adelaide next week.

Maybe it was not a bad thing that their start in any top order of India did not change into a big score - it was ensured that all frontline batsmen could spend a decent time in the middle - and by the end of the day, Ajinkya Rahane was retiring to hit others. But they will need to ensure that fifty-odd is not a habit that falls in the Test series. When they come in, count it. Cheteshwar Pujara can be forgiven for his dismissal, which was beaten with a beautiful delivery of Luke Robbins, who had slipped to the top of the off stump, and Kohli knew well in going forward fifty, though They could see their disappointment fell after lunch. However, short elegant sweep of shawl for Daniel Fallins and short of Vihari, missed opportunities for three figures.
Balance on India has remained a hot topic. Will he play Ravindra Jadeja or R Ashwin all rounder or go for the sixth specialist batsman? Vihari, who also imposed some passport offspin, made his debut against England at the Oval, where he made the half-century before being dismissed against the West Indies in the first innings when five bowlers were selected. It may be relevant that Vihari batted above Rohit Sharma in this innings, although considering the nature of the match it is difficult to conclude. Rohit's experience of 25 Tests can still tip the balance. It is also worth noting that Jadeja was not given a chance to bat.
Later, Bangar said that the inaugural and number 6 slots were on the posts "we have not decided yet".
Remember one wicket (and day)
It's a wicket, 19-year-old Aaron Hardy will be able to get out for a while. On 64, Kohli came forward to drive and could only send return catches at the shin height, which Hardy had caught in his follow-through. Sadly, for them, this is not a first-class match, so it will not be a class in the official record, but still, it was a moment that he would never forget and the ceremony was full of joy with his teammates.
"It seemed very amazing," she said. "It all happened very quickly, he was doing a little bit of piece around the park and then next time he hit me once again. It was a great feeling,
